My 5 star rating is based upon the quality of the coat that I received – it is much better than the pictures. If you are hesitant to spend this amount of money for a coat, put your fears to bed. The amount of effort that Gary puts into his projects is nothing short of incredible. First off let’s be clear, the delivery time quoted on the website is way too optimistic. If you are in a hurry, go buy a cheap knockoff. Plan on waiting much longer and answering lots of questions from both Gary and Jo about this and that on your coat. Trust me though, it is all worth it. I have never dealt with a merchant who was so concerned about the little details and constantly reached out to confirm and ensure that the coat I wanted was the coat they delivered. I live in California, USA, so obviously I purchased this coat solely based on their website. The purchase and minor changes I wanted were handled in a professional manner and were completed better than expected. Yes, they are a small operation, but I believe this is a plus not a negative. The coat you ultimately receive is one of a kind, it is not mass produced, and reflects the quality from a bygone era. This is a coat that you will treasure for years to come. The only negative I have found is the constant stream of questions I have to answer when I wear it!
